Commercial Louvre Window Features

Glass louvres

With a large range of design options, Safetyline Jalousie glass louvre windows offer style and functionality.

Every JX Safetyline Jalousie glass louvre is framed on three sides and hinged at the rear edge of the glass.

We can design a glass louvre system to suit any environment.

For example, in warm climates we can install tinted glass to reduce solar heat gain, while in cool climates we can supply low-e glass to reduce heat loss.

In fact, we can provide virtually any type of glass with a 6mm thickness and blade width of 123mm.

In float and toughened glass you can choose from:

  • Clear
  • Grey
  • Green
  • Bronze
  • Frosted

Aluminium louvres

Modern and stylish aluminium louvres provide complete privacy and security, allowing you to control light and airflow.

The robust construction makes them ideal for use in high wind areas and tropical regions.

Aluminium louvres are custom made with a blade width of 135mm and are available in a wide range of finishes.

Combination louvres

The combination of glass and aluminium louvres provides the ultimate in versatility.

This is a popular option for properties where partial privacy is required – while maintaining light and airflow.

This system can be configured into any combination of glass and aluminium louvres to best suit the application.

Frames

You can choose from a wide selection of frame colours.

Aluminium components are available in three surface finishes – powder coated, high-performance powder coated and anodised. It is important to select the most appropriate finish for your environment.

Unique brush seals on all four sides of the louvre frame provide a complete seal to the installation.

Safetyline Jalousie windows are designed to block out wind, rain and insects.

Handles

Safetyline Jalousie handles are available in polished stainless steel or black.

Lever handles enable symmetric and simultaneous opening of louvres to 80°.

This robust operating mechanism is built to withstand the roughest treatment.

Insect screens

Insect screens can be fitted internally into surround frame sections. These snap into the frame and are easily removed for cleaning.

Security Bar

Safetyline Jalousie louvre windows offer inbuilt security plus optional stainless steel rods – giving peace of mind when windows are open on hot summer nights.

Every JX glass louvre is framed on three sides and hinged at the rear edge of the glass. The hinge can incorporate an internal stainless steel rod, providing impenetrable security.

These 8mm stainless steel security rods provide absolute security from intruders. Even if the glass louvre is broken, the window remains secure.

Motor Operation

Safetyline Jalousie louvre windows can be motor controlled and integrated with climate control systems or other sensor activated control systems.

With electronic operation, the system can be linked to a central building control panel.

Special sensors that automatically close the louvres during rain or excessive wind conditions may also be installed.

Motors can be supplied by Safetyline Jalousie or sourced from a third party.

Care & Maintenance

Safetyline Jalousie louvre windows have been designed and built for a lifetime of enjoyment.

But preventive care and maintenance is recommended to prolong the life of this durable product.

These valuable tips will help you maintain your Safetyline Jalousie window for years to come.

Firstly:

  • Inspect after installation and then annually.
  • Check all screws are tight.
  • Check all seals are clean and in place.
  • Check all handles for correct operation and note any sign of wear.
  • Make sure all louvres open and close easily.

On-going care:

Aluminium:

Regular maintenance helps to reduce the rate of weathering of aluminium finishes. How often you clean depends on where you live but cleaning every three months could be seen as a guide.

  • Warm water and a mild detergent should be used to remove loose deposits and clean louvre frames and aluminium blades.
  • Cleaning agents, particularly those with a caustic effect, should not be used.

Glass:

Regular cleaning with a mild detergent and water usually gives the best results.
